In today’s digital business environment, ensuring the security and authenticity of important documents like invoices is vital. Accelon’s bConnect simplifies this process by enabling users to digitally sign and securely send PDF documents with ease.
To begin, users must obtain a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC), typically in a .pfx format, from trusted providers such as eMudhra. After installation, the certificate is imported into bConnect using the Certificate Import Wizard.
Within bConnect, users can define rules for document processing. To apply a digital signature, users select a rule like “Sales Invoice” and configure it via the Format tab, where options like “Digitally Sign the PDF” are enabled. Users also need to input signature details such as issuer, reason, and placement within SQL Server’s SignProfile table, which bConnect references using a Profile Code.
Once the profile is configured, users attach the relevant Crystal Report file, set parameters, and input email details for automated delivery. They also define the message format, file name, and ensure the signed document is sent as an attachment.
After saving and updating the rule, users can execute it instantly via the “Execute Now” option. The signed invoice is then emailed to recipients, and its status is visible in bConnect’s monitor panel.
